A police station in Osun State, was on Friday, set ablaze by irate youth after an official of the Police allegedly shot dead a young student in the area.

Some angry youths in the Iwo area of Osun State, have on Friday, set a police station ablaze in the town over the alleged shooting of an undergraduatestudent, Tunde Nofiu, by an officer attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
According to PUNCH Metro, the student who was spending the holidays in the town and was going to Iwo from Olupona, was shot dead on Thursday night and the incident later led to a heated protest.
An eyewitness claims that they were looking for a bike man around Ajangbala, area in Iwo town, on their way home, before the SARS officer allegedly attacked them and shot Babatunde. He died at the scene.
Enraged by the death of the student, the youths of the town gathered together and set ablaze the police station on Friday morning.
