The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who recently defected from the ruling APC and faced calls from the party to step down from his position, has made a new appointment.

59-year old Earl Osaro Onaiwu, has been appointed as liaison officer on state matters to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
According to PREMIUM Times, in a short statement by Saraki’s media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, on Tuesday, the senate president described Onaiwu as an experienced politician.
“Onaiwu, an experienced politician and public administrator will help to co-ordinate relationship between the Office of the Senate President and the various state governments across the country,” the statement reads.
