NNEWI—MINISTER of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has said that his intention to contest the Anambra Central Senatorial District seat is unsettling his political opponents even when he is still consulting and yet to take a final decision to run for the seat.
He said the television and radio stations in the state are already rumbling and making analysis on the implication of his running for the seat, while the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA and individuals eying the seat are jittery and unsettled over his intention.

Speaking with Vanguard in his home in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Senator Ngige said: “Ordinarily, I would not have come out for any elective position in Anambra State but I’m under pressure by my former colleagues in the Seventh Senate and some who came into the Eight Senate to contest the Anambra Central Senatorial District seat.
“However, what is surprising me is that everywhere is already shaking just because I may contest for the senatorial seat. It is unsettling my political opponents. Some radio stations and television stations are rumbling in Anambra State. Infact, a lot of people are now on radio. Anambra State Government people are on Anambra Broadcasting Service radio, analyzing the implication of my coming out.”
The Minister said “Ngige is a brand name. Whether you are my enemy or my friend, you must realize that I mean so many ambitious things to so many people.
“To some people, I am a fighter and to some, I am resilient and courageous. Some say I am bright and good enough to deliver on any assignment given to me and some see me as an advancing politician that is rugged and never say die and things like that.
“So for me, that is what it should be because no man is perfect and nobody is the darling of everybody.”
